Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House is the oldest operating bed and breakfast on Tangier Island. It has run continuously since 1939, when it first opened as a boarding house. Our bed and breakfast has 8 rooms- 5 in the main house & 3 located across the street above our restaurant. The main house features a sitting room that has a television, coffee center, and lots of books and articles about Tangier Island that are available for our guests. Both houses feature a screened porch that seems to be a favorite place to gather.
